KesherKIDS Family Volunteer Hours

Volunteers are the pillars of Kesher Pittsburgh (and KesherKIDS), and are especially vital to a growing community like ours. Your family's service hours help make our program thrive and give you a chance to participate in a community where your skills are needed and appreciated.

Volunteer opportunities can include:
- set up/clean up for Kabbalat Shabbat/High Holiday services/other KPGH gatherings
- gathering/transporting food and/or supplies for Kesher gatherings
- serving on the KesherKIDS Parent Committee
- fundraising support
- lending any other special skills or talents that our community may benefit from

This responsibility not only enhances the operation of the program, but also strengthens the diversity and fabric of our Kesher community.

As a part of the KesherKIDS program, we are asking each family to commit to a certain number of volunteer hours (to be fulfilled throughout the entire school year), depending on the class of the family’s oldest enrolled child.

Class Requirements

1st-3rd: 3 hours for the school year
4th-7th: 6 hours for the school year

Do you commit to fulfilling your family volunteer service hours for 5785 (2024-2025)?

Important Payment Information:

The yearly cost of the KesherKIDS program is calculated here, using a sliding scale. This range acknowledges that paying full cost would prevent some folks from being able to attend. At Kesher Pittsburgh, it matters to us to create a space where finances will never be a barrier to participation in our programs. To continue providing the unique and intimate program that KesherKIDS is, we ask that you choose a price that truly reflects your resources. This ensures that our community remains as inclusive as possible.

Annual Tuition Costs:
First - Third Grade: $900-$1,800
Fourth - Seventh Grade: $1,200-$2,000

Please register for KesherKIDS classes by June 1, 2024. If you choose to withdraw your child from the program prior to July 1, you will receive a full tuition refund. Any withdrawals between July 1-July 31 will receive a 50% refund. Withdrawals on or after August 1 will not receive a tuition refund.
